Fitness means many different things to different people; however it is a condition and quality that should be embedded in our lives as we go about our daily business. Fitness and healthy go hand in hand and; as we can see from the definition above; being able to live our everyday lives requires us to be fit and healthy. Let me make it clear though that fitness and good health are not the same – healthy people could be physically unfit due to lack of exercise.

Fitness is not about being thin or having bulging muscles. It is a combination of qualities that enable us to perform at our full potential. Fitness also influences our mental and emotional state since what we do with our bodies also affects what we can do with our minds.

Fitness consists of the following aspects:

  • Cardio Respiratory Endurance,
  • Muscular Strength,
  • Muscular Endurance
  • Flexibility.

Here at Mind Body Soul Fitzone you will find an array of exercises and tools to help get you into the best shape. Please do not be deterred if you have never worked out in your life. We all need to start somewhere – I can attest to this and will aim to offer the best exercises for various fitness levels. I am not going to say that it will be easy, but I will assure you that it will be worth it.
